Time to change it up!
Project Icarus Tech has been around for about a year now using HTML editors to create a site that was user friendly and compatible with all types of media. Lately the site was taking up too many resources on the server share that was locally run and managed. This site looked nice at first but had fallen out of control when trying to add an ftp server to the mix. This has caused an issue with media and other valuable items leaking into other peoples hands. So in a last ditch effort I have decided to migrate hosts to achieve faster load times and take advantage of enhanced content management.
Thanks to the free service that Weebly.com offers to people just getting started on the internet, I hope to expand the site much further. If you wish to see the lay out of the old site to pass judgments between each different layout, click here. Thanks for reading. Article by: Chris Parks |
About Project Icarus Tech
Project Icarus Tech was founded about one year ago, on January 26, 2012. My goal was to Help people in my community with their tech issues as much as possible by relaying the information as quickly as I could over the internet. The Goal still has not changed, but rather expanded towards giving my opinions while being able to take advice from others to come to a possible solution.
I am currently working my way towards a degree in Computer Engineering. As of now I am a high school senior who has a little too much free time. With my free time I have taught myself how to repair and setup my own personal equipment. This includes hardware replacement, Operating System (OS) installation, configuration, and maintenance. I have also learned how to configure servers and link domain computers to the server. With the knowledge that the world of computing is ever changing, and rapidly at that, I find my self trying to learn everything I possibly can be fore I head off to college. -Up to date as of January 19, 2013 |
